Confused by computers?
Our computer training is here to help you navigate the digital world.
In this digital age, it’s become almost impossible to function without a computer – yet according to this Lloyds Bank report, over 20% of people in the UK still have ‘very low’ digital skills.
If you’re one of these people, or you know someone who is, we’re here to help.
We offer training on a wide variety of basic computer skills, including:
- Logging in and setting up accounts
- Using Windows or Mac iOS
- Using email and the Internet
- Basic Microsoft Office or iWork skills
- Online safety and account security
- And much more
No topic is too basic. Our computer training is suitable for absolute beginners as well as novice users who need a confidence boost – for example, we’re more than happy to show someone how to turn on the computer if they don’t know!
Need help with your smartphone or tablet?
No problem! Our computer training isn’t just limited to desktop computers, and if you’re looking to gain confidence in using your smartphone or tablet, we’re here to help.
Smartphones and tablets are essentially just small computers, and the skills needed to use a computer are very similar to the skills needed to use a smartphone or a tablet, so you’ll be able to apply the techniques you learn to use any device in the future with confidence.
We offer training either on a 1-1 basis or for groups of up to 5 to suit your needs.
(Discounted rates per student are also available for group sessions. Please see the Prices & Fees page for more details.)
Computer training such as this is best done face-to-face. We offer in-person tuition in Milton Keynes and surrounding towns* to suit you, either at your home or, for group sessions, at an external venue (subject to availability).
* An additional travel charge may apply for sessions held outside of Milton Keynes.
Please see the Prices & Fees page for more details.
For those based elsewhere, we also provide online training. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.
Let’s end digital exclusion and guide those who need it through the digital world.

Chris, your tutor
Why choose me for computer training?
It can be frustrating when you see someone struggling to use computers. It probably seems obvious to you what they should do, but it just doesn’t seem to click with them no matter how many times you tell them.
What you need is someone who is patient, supportive and can offer a fresh perspective, and I am exactly that person.
I can explain concepts in very simple terms, and compare aspects of using a computer to other aspects of life the student is more familiar with, such as a telephone. In our sessions, I will go as slowly as necessary and will start from the very beginning if needed, building up knowledge and introducing new ideas gradually until the student feels confident.
For me, computer training is not just about coaching my students, but about giving back to the community and offering help to those who need it.
I want to give those unfamiliar with computers the opportunity and confidence to be a part of our modern society. If that’s you or someone you know, it would be my pleasure to be a part of your journey.
